my time in ecuador was amazing. 3 months in such an exciting country! i was there autumn 2006 on a discipleschool. The name of the school is Acts29 and the two major themes was discipleship and mission. we studied the Bible but also put everything we learnt into practic. An awsome time in the local pracic congrigation and also 3 lovely practic weeks in different parts of Ecuador. One at the coast, one in the jungle and one in the mountains. They were all amazing, crazy in their own ways! Got to experience loads of crazy stuff:

3 scary and crazy days in the country side at the coast were we experienced a 1½ hours walk through the banana plantation with times not knowing where we were and giant frogs coming into our house were we slept!! in the jungle we got to do Rafting, crazy fun! i was also in a burglary drama(!) in the jungle. me and a friend from Sweden got locked out of our house in the middle of the night with no people in the house and without cellphones, but with the easy sollution to break into the house(!) climbing through one of the windows lol! a bit embarrassing, but hey what do you do?  in the mountains we travelled by bus for maybe 1½ hours and then walked a pretty long way to get completely soaked by the rain, “just” to get to a cellgroup. it was awful but so hillarious at the same time! misioneras here we come!

2 uncontrolled waterfights, a scorpion in our room just 5cm from my feet(!) and power failure once a week was things we experienced at the school. my oh my what an amazing time we had in Ecuador! this is a great sum up of all the crazy stuff that happend (although, there’s so much more to tell…) but of course i also learnt new things about myself. i got more mature in many ways, as an individual, as a Christian and as a person in a group. if you get the opportunity to go to South America or another exciting part of the globe, take it!
